As you are all aware, on Tuesday the children needed to be collected early due to school having lost its water supply. We have a large number of parents who have been to the school office to advise staff they did not receive the text message asking parents/carers to collect their children.
This is a perfect example of why all parents/carers have been advised and asked on several occasions to download the new Parent Hub app. The app shows which parents are contactable (unlike the texting service).
We currently have 61% of parents using the Parent Hub service and 100% of those have at least 1 contact with a valid telephone number and can be contacted at any time.
The 39% that do not have the app can not be guaranteed to be contacted by school. As a reminder – it is the parents/carers responsibility to download the app to receive messages from school.
FROM MONDAY 25 FEBRUARY 2019 THE TEXTING SERVICE WILL NO LONGER BE IN USE. ALL MESSAGES WILL COME DIRECTLY THROUGH PARENT HUB. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE PARENT HUB APP YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE MESSAGES FROM SCHOOL.
If you are having issues with the new app, please call tot he school office and a member of staff will be happy to assist you.
There have been numerous occasions that we have asked parents to download the app on various platforms – Facebook, school website, the current texting service and letters home. Please do not wait until you have no communication from school to come to the office to advise you are not receiving no texts.
